About BaZi Calculator

Most online BaZi calculators hide their rules. A chart depends on choices — true solar time, the Li Chun year boundary, the Zi hour convention, historical time zones — and those choices change results. We publish every rule we use and let you switch the ones that are genuinely disputed.

Solar terms are computed astronomically to the minute. Birth places come from a built-in GeoNames city list with historical time zones and daylight saving. Results are checked against regression samples from published reference charts. Details are on the methodology page.

Reference pages, the glossary, guides and the blog explain the system in plain language. Example charts in articles are generated by the same engine as the calculator, so they are always consistent. We cite classical sources where relevant and note where schools disagree.

We do not publish testimonials, invented statistics or predictions about health, money or relationships. BaZi is a traditional cultural system. This page explains how the symbols are defined and read; it does not make scientific claims or predictions about your health, money or relationships.

Calculation runs without an account. Saving is optional — on this device, or in your account after Google sign-in. Shared links remove place and time zone details. See the privacy policy.
